Trim

Remove the portion of a sketch entity bounded by its nearest valid intersections.

Purpose

Remove the portion of a sketch entity bounded by its nearest valid intersections.

While editing a sketch, open Modify and choose Trim.

Tap the segment portion to remove, between the intersections that should become its new endpoints.

The tap location selects which interval between intersections is removed; Trim has no numeric settings.

The source entity is shortened or divided at intersections and the tapped interval is removed.

Undo a trim or use Extend and drawing tools to rebuild missing geometry.

Trim removes the wrong interval or does nothing.

Zoom in and tap between clear intersections; create or extend boundary intersections first.
