MakerSolid Documentation Version 1.5.2

task

Apply colors and create a preview

Assign body materials, adjust their finish, and capture a rendered model image.

Apply a color or material

The Appearance pane open beside a box body in Model view.
  1. Select the body or bodies you want to change in the viewport or Browser.
  2. Open Appearance.
  3. Choose a quick color or material and adjust the available finish.

Appearance is assigned to bodies. A body keeps its assignment when its feature history rebuilds. Imported STEP colors are used when available and can be replaced with a MakerSolid appearance.

Material finish

Glossy has the smoothest reflection, Satin is balanced, and Matte has the roughest finish. The modeling viewport provides immediate feedback; Preview produces the higher-quality presentation view.

Capture a preview

Switch to Preview, frame the model with Orbit, Pan, Zoom, and Views, then use Capture. Transparent omits the background and grid from PNG output. The demo plan requires its watermark; unlocked access can make the watermark optional. Save Image writes the captured result through the system save flow.
