Sketch tool

Arc

Draw a circular arc using a start point, end point, and a third point that sets curvature.

Purpose

Draw a circular arc using a start point, end point, and a third point that sets curvature.

Where to find it

Start or edit a sketch, open Draw, and choose Arc.

Selection

  • Tap Start, tap End, then place the Arc Point on the desired side of the chord.

Steps

  1. Pick start and end.
  2. Move the third point to preview curvature and tap to finish.

Options

Three-point placement

The third point controls radius and which side of the start-to-end chord the arc follows.

Construction Mode

Creates a reference arc that does not form a profile boundary.

Result

The three accepted points create an editable circular arc.

Editing

Move endpoints or the arc point and apply Coincident, Tangent, Equal, or dimensional constraints.

Troubleshooting

The arc bends the wrong way or becomes nearly straight.

Place the third point on the other side of the chord or farther from the start-to-end line.
