Sketch tool

Sketch Undo, Redo, and Clear

Reverse sketch edits, restore reversed edits, or empty the active sketch using the persistent footer actions.

Purpose

Reverse sketch edits, restore reversed edits, or empty the active sketch using the persistent footer actions.

Where to find it

Use Undo, Redo, and Clear at the lower right while an active sketch is open.

Selection

  • Undo and Redo require an available sketch operation; Clear requires an active sketch and does not require a selection.

Steps

  1. Use Undo to reverse the latest sketch operation or Redo to restore it.
  2. For a complete reset, tap Clear and review the confirmation.
  3. Confirm Clear Sketch only when all sketch content should be removed.

Options

Undo

Reverses the latest available operation in the active sketch history.

Redo

Restores the latest sketch operation that was reversed with Undo.

Clear

After confirmation, removes every entity, dimension, and constraint from the current sketch.

Result

Undo and Redo update the active sketch history; Clear leaves the sketch present but empty.

Editing

Continue drawing after any action; Undo Clear when available if the sketch was emptied accidentally.

Troubleshooting

Undo or Redo is disabled.

The active sketch has no operation available in that direction. Make an edit, or return to Model if the change belongs to model history instead.
