MakerSolid Documentation Version 1.5.2

Sketch tool

Coincident

Force two supported endpoints or centers to occupy the same sketch position.

Purpose

Force two supported endpoints or centers to occupy the same sketch position.

Where to find it

While editing a sketch, open Constraints and choose Coincident.

Selection

  • Tap two endpoints, or supported circle centers, in order.

Steps

  1. Tap the first point and then the second point.
  2. Confirm the points solve to one location.

Options

Point pair

The two selected points define the coincidence relationship; there are no numeric controls.

Result

A Coincident constraint brings the selected points together while keeping any other edges already joined at those corners connected. An impossible or edge-collapsing relationship is rejected without changing the sketch.

Editing

Use Manage Constraints in a relationship constraint panel and delete Coincident to separate the points again.

Troubleshooting

The constraint conflicts with existing geometry.

Remove a fixed or dimensional constraint that prevents either selected point from moving.
