Axis

Create a persistent construction axis positioned within a selected plane.

Purpose

Create a persistent construction axis positioned within a selected plane.

Where to find it

Open Model, open Construct, and choose Axis.

Selection

  • Choose a world or construction Plane that defines the axis placement frame.

Steps

  1. Select Plane.
  2. Enter Local X, Local Y, and Angle, review the preview, and tap Apply.

Options

Plane

Defines the local coordinate frame containing the axis.

Local X / Local Y

Position the axis origin in the plane's local coordinates.

Angle

Rotates the axis direction within the selected plane.

Result

Apply adds a construction Axis under References for revolves, patterns, rotations, and directions.

Editing

Open the Axis feature in History to change plane, position, or angle.

Troubleshooting

A downstream tool cannot use the axis.

Confirm the Axis feature rebuilds successfully and is visible, then select it through References or the reference picker.
